4th of July Festivities with fireworks held three days in a row
There should be no reason to miss fireworks this 4th of July. There are nearly two dozen fireworks shows scheduled in the greater Columbus area over a period of several days. We won't list all of them here, but we will highlight a few of the better ones. For a much more detailed list, you can visit www.fireworksinohio. com. The Red, White and Boom! Fireworks display in downtown Columbus claims to have the biggest fireworks show in Ohio. It will be held this year on July 3 from noon to 11pm. Parking can be challenging. Why not consider hiring a limo or towncar this year to drop you off early in the evening in Veterans Park? You can pack a picnic and a nice bottle of wine. Locate a good viewing area and settle in on your blanket. Take turns with your companions to wander off and partake of some of the activities, vendors and rides available for the evening. This way, you enjoy some of the fun, but don't have to worry about losing your place. After the fireworks are finished, pack up your stuff and head over to one of downtown Columbus' fine pubs or restaurants for a little after celebration snack and nightcap. Your limo can then pick you up and whisk you back home.
